People should not believe everything that they hear in the media, it is usually not true or half-true and blown out of proportion most of the time. MJ did not buy the Elephant Man's bones as stated in an interview because he stated he was just looking at them and he stated "what would I do with a bunch of bones?" he didn't buy them, media again seized on a "story" and "ran" with it. They did that too often with Michael Jackson. They said he slept in a chaimber of glass to stay young, they made almost everyone believe he was a pedofile, they made everyone believe he bleached his skin [his family was stated to have a history of Vallitigo], look closely at his sister La Toya, her skin is lightening too.
He did not commit any crimes because the case was brought on by someone trying to extort money from him.
The recent case of David Letterman going though and extortion case seems eerily familiar with MJ's because the doctor that is in the case is behind on child support, and so is the person trying to extort money from Letterman, GO FIGURE! HELLO!! this should be a red flag or 2.

The "Elephant Man" was actually named Joseph or John Merrick, not David Merrick.
